it’s a big world out there.

Success.  What does it mean to you?  I’ve been giving this question a lot of thought lately.  In modern society success is usually measured by the amount of dollars we have in our pockets and the amount of awards we have on our resume.  I’m coming to believe that success is really about how happy we are.  Actually, I think that is more important than the amount of money or awards, although these things certainly wonderful.

Because without happiness, what’s the point?  And I think the happier we are, the other things we are looking for will just fall into place by their own accord.  We will become magnets for all good things.  I find myself happier when I have interesting projects on my plate because my mind is engaged but in order for those projects to come to me, I also need to reach out and make them happen.

In work related news, Inquiring Mind Magazine is using my large dragon painting ‘Taming the Mind’ on their cover next month.

More soon.  Until then, may all beings find happiness.  k

oh, yes, the little lovely in the photograph is Isabella at LaGuardia airport.  She’s growing so fast and she loves discovering the world around her.
