Green Tara is known as the Buddha of enlightened activity in Buddhist culture. She is a powerful goddess. Her posture is at ease but she is ready to spring to action as her right leg is outstretched. In her hands are two lotuses symbolizing purity and power.
She is believed to help her followers overcome danger, fear and anxiety and she is especially worshipped for her ability to overcome the most difficult of situations. Green Tara acts quickly to help those who call to her, as she is exceptionally compassionate.
