Painted while on retreat at a 200 year old farm house in South France, summer 2002. We followed the trail of Mary Magdalene, a highly revered saint, while traveling to Maries-de-la-Mer. She stands on a bed of skulls representing the nature of impermanence along with holding an Egyptian Ankh symbolizing life everlasting. It was a beautiful time in our lives and much joy was lived…this painting will bring great happiness and blessings to any space.
